I like the look of Spidey [not the typical superhero body-type so many artists just throw the Spidey-suit over] and the size differential between the two. Very nice, sir!
Thanks Craig! It's kind of funny, growing up I was into anime. Oddly enough nothing like the kids I see nowadays. They don't understand the importance of learning traditional art skills before utilizing stylized interpretations of things. One of my favorite things was Fist of the North Star, which was notorious for extremely enhancing the size differential between characters. I feel like it adds a lot more to the action sometimes. As for Spidey. I like to play around with how I depict him. I like him to be either really thin, or really compact, almost like the proportions of a teen, like we saw him back in the Ditko or Romita Sr. days. That's what I think of when I think of Spidey. At this point I've pretty much understood that most major companies probably wouldn't take my style, but if the went crazy for some reason, I'd love to do a stand alone Spidey story. I can't even tell you how much fun I'd make it (by fun I mean insane).
